Our client is a small Consultancy firm specialising in providing international tax advice for individuals with assets held globally and between extended family members. In addition, the firm provides bookkeeping/accounting and general family office services.
A position has become available for a Senior Accountant/Bookkeeper to join their team and be responsible for the day-to-day bookkeeping/accounting, preparation of reports, liaising with external lawyers and trustees, and preparation of cash flow reports.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Overseeing bookkeeping functions of the business
- Responsible for monitoring the accounts and maintaining the books of all entities to which the firm provides services.
- Preparation and reviewing of annual accounts / audited accounts
- Monitoring of cash activities – in particular returns on investments, professional fees etc.
- Preparation of cash balance reports – including return on investment reports
- Preparation of expense reports
- Preparation of annual reports to clients and other third parties
- Compiling information and support documentation for audits, tax returns and tax audits
- Review of tax returns
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Candidates applying should hold a relevant accounting qualification such as AAT/ACCA/ACA, have 4 years or more experience in a similar role and have all round accounts experience with an emphasis on tax.
