Our client is a leading and well known company with head offices based in North West London and suppliers globally.  The client is a market leader in the distribution of a wide range of medical and healthcare products and they are looking to recruit an experienced Shipping / Logistics Administrator to join them and support a busy Shipping Manager in their day to day duties.

Duties will include:

  • Providing support to the Shipping Manager
  • Dealing with daily correspondence via email and phone with regards to the import and export of goods
  • Collating all documentation with relation to shipment (invoices, packing lists, batch release certificates etc)
  • Ensuring that shipping and import documents are accurate
  • Coordinating and tracking orders and containers from Purchase Order to point of delivery
  • Liaising with clients regarding any delays and redirection of goods
  • Producing Bills of Lading for Customs
  • Initialising customs and duty clearance
  • Liaising with the Trading team regarding the estimated time of arrival of deliveries
  • Ad-hoc administrative duties as required

Skills and Attributes:

  • previous shipping experience
  • Strong IT skills
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to multi task and prioritise
