Our client is a market leading Insurance Broker based in North West London. An opportunity has become available for a Bookkeeper/Accounts Assistant to join their team to play a vital role in supporting the financial operations of the company.

This position requires a detail-oriented and organised Bookkeeper/Accounts Assistant with a strong understanding of accounting principles and a commitment to maintaining accurate financial records.  The role benefits from parking, generous holidays and flexible working hours.

Duties will include;

    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
    • Record and reconcile financial transactions in the general ledger.
    • Prepare and process invoices for clients.
    • Verify invoice approvals and address discrepancies as needed.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
    • Record and reconcile financial transactions in the general ledger.
    • Prepare and process invoices for clients.
    • Verify invoice approvals and address discrepancies as needed.
    • Perform bank reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial data.
    • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
    • Manage accounts payable processes, including insurers & partners invoice verification, coding, and payment processing.
    • Maintain insurer & partner relationships and address payment enquiries.
    • Assist with accounts receivable functions, including invoice generation, client communications, and payment tracking.
    • Follow up on overdue accounts and coordinate collections efforts.
  • Chasing clients & insurers for payments outside of standard credit terms

 

Key Skills:

 

  • Knowledge of accounting principles and financial processes.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in financial recordkeeping.
