Our client is an established and successful Accountancy Practice located in an upmarket area. The client is recruiting for an experienced Company Secretary to join their company secretarial department and to assist in the management of a large portfolio of prestigious clients requiring Company Secretarial services.
This position is a hybrid role offering 2 days working from home. Prior experience in this field is essential. Candidates must have a reasonable knowledge of company law and of Companies House procedures and have worked in an accountancy practice.
The role involves looking after a portfolio of high-end clients in varied industry sectors and managing their statutory filing obligations.
Duties include:
• Managing, preparing and filing annual confirmation statements
• Reminding partners and managers of accounts filing deadlines
• Advising changes in PSCs
• Dealing with appointments and resignations of directors and company secretaries
• Dealing with share transfers and allotments, buy-back of shares, etc
• Maintaining registers
• Liaising with clients and dealing with client queries
Candidates applying must have:
• Previous experience as a company secretary – essential
• Previous experience in an accountancy practice – essential
• Excellent communication skills
• Must be proactive and take ownership of role
• Strong IT Skills
