An exciting opportunity is available for a Receptionist / Office Administrator to join a Jewish Charity based in London. This role will be based Front of House and will be supporting the organisations administration. The successful candidate will benefit from generous holidays and an early finish every Friday. Main responsibilities will include:

  • Meeting and greeting, controlling entry to the building by the door buzzer system
  • Answering incoming calls, forwarding to the relevant departments and taking messages
  • Taking bookings for forthcoming events / courses and in-putting information onto an on-line booking system
  • Handling cash / credit card transactions
  • Administrative and secretarial work as requested by other staff members (including typing, e-mails, photocopying, faxing, distribution of mail, mailshots)
  • Supporting relevant individuals with fundraising, event administration and general administration
  • Ordering of office stationery, general refreshments, consumables etc.
  • Updating in-house database, ensuring all details are entered in accurately 

Key skills:

  • Strong IT skills
  • Personable with the ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
  • Minimum of a 1-2 years experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of the Jewish community or the Hebrew language is desirable but not essential

Working hours are 8.30am-5.30pm Monday-Thursday with early closing on Friday’s. This role will require occasional evening work so candidate applying must have a flexible work approach. Contact us for further information on this exciting opportunity.
