Our client is a leading and well-known distributor of health food products with head offices based in London Bridge and suppliers globally. We are currently recruiting a Shipping Manager to join their team to assist with all aspects of shipping including Import & Export. Our client offers excellent benefits including a Personal Pension Plan, private healthcare and other perks. Duties will include;

• Hands on supervision of day to day operations of inbound shipping team including:
• Identify and prioritise tasks to ensure dates, deadlines, targets, stock availability, quality, safety and customer service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
• Processing orders and managing key client accounts with regards to shipments
• Collating all documentation with relation to shipment (invoices, packing lists, batch release certificates etc)
• Develop and maintain business relationships between key stake holders (customers, suppliers, freight forwarders, customs agents, 3rd party providers) and troubleshoot operational issues.
• Coordinate national activities efficiently with stake holders for inbound shipments ensuring achievement of key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs).
• Plan and coordinate shipments, daily booking of container time slots, and review shipping charges pertaining to detention/demurrage, storage/power, transport and escalate any exceptions to superior.
• Update and upload associated paperwork for shipments including bills of lading, product codes and invoicing.

Skills and Attributes:
• Previous shipping & logistics experience
• 5 years experience in a similar role
